Nicole (Thompson) Hospers

Owner and Lead Interior Designer

After growing up in the interior design world supporting her mom, Patty, in all areas from designing to marketing to accounting, Nicole was excited to make the leap and join TID as a full-time designer in February 2012. Nicole’s combined background of event planning and apparel merchandising and design were a great fit for this industry. Her fresh, unique point of view of mixing modern and traditional and natural ability to guide clients through the design process have made her a success in achieving beautiful, functional and lasting spaces.

Nicole finds her inspiration from fashion, food, artwork, traveling, her clients and their projects and other creatives. She lives with her husband, Dan, and their sweet and busy daughters, Olivia and Clara, in Sioux City.

Patty Thompson

Thompson Interior Design started in 1996 by Patty. After years of working with a local designer, she decided to make the go on her own and start TID. She made a business centered on creating spaces with her clients that were comfortable to live in, reflected their true style and made them happy! This same focus is still at the heart of TID. Patty’s design style was timeless, thoughtful and original. She had the ability to elevate spaces to their fullest potential and truly made her mark on each one. Patty’s creative passion was interior design, but her clients were the driving force of her work - many of Patty’s clients became her dearest friends.

Although her business was a huge part of her life, her work was never bigger than living life and the love she had for her husband, children, puppies and family. If you ever knew Patty, you instantly felt loved and important. She was a true gift and example on how to embrace life and make it beautiful. She is now our design angel and we are sure she is having a blast collaborating with the ultimate designer, God.
